New Law in Austria may put psychiatric patients at risk….

A new law in Austria will, if approved by the parliament, enable untrained psychologists to

a. diagnose
b. treat

psychiatric disorders.
Psychologists in Austria do NOT, in any way, receive proper medical education. Also, they do NOT receive extensive eduaction about PSYCHIATRIC disorders and the underlying causes. Many of them have NEVER worked with or SEEN patients with a psychiatric diagnosis.

Thus, they are by no means able to diagnose or treat those disorders.

The new law, if approved, will however put the burden of diagnosis AND treatment completely on psycholgists.

The medical representatives have NOT been heard or listened to.
